I upgraded from my Fold6. Z Fold8 Ultra is a massive improvement over it. Slimmer, bigger battery, crease and hinge is non-existent. System is much more fluid and responsive. Overall durability is much higher than before.

Battery life is the biggest change: my Fold 5 would barely make it through a full day, and I was always hunting for a charger by evening. The Fold 8 Ultra actually holds up. The hinge is noticeably smoother, and the main screen crease is much better than the Fold 5's, still visible if you're looking for it, but a real improvement. Responsiveness is a smaller difference, but it's there; everything just feels a touch snappier day to day. The thing I like most, though, is the wider cover screen. On the Fold 5, typing out a quick WhatsApp reply on the outside screen felt cramped, so I'd end up unfolding the phone way more than I should've just to reply to something simple. The Fold 8 Ultra's wider cover screen makes typing and quick replies feel natural without opening it, a small change that makes a real difference day to day. I've only had the 8 Ultra a week, so I can't speak to long-term durability first-hand yet. But I had my Fold 5 since launch with zero issues, so if the 8 Ultra holds up anywhere near as well, I'll be more than happy.

Many things were improved in the Ford 8 ultra relative to the previous generation plus the camera battery or charging But when it comes to the competition of Chinese smartphones, it's not stety samsung a little pale appearance. I hope that not long will samsung improve it but I really like these phones so I bought it soft and the software at the highest level as to the quality of the screen is good but it could have been better. I also have a samsung s 26 ultra and I have the impression that the screen there is a little better so not exactly samsung tried Ala despite the weak minuses samsung zfold 8 ultra is a great phone and good refined and I am very pleased with it, there is a big improvement in terms of the previous generation and this is very cool

I can't believe how thin and light it is compared to my Fold 6. The crease is less noticeable and the battery life is better. I do miss the UDC and spen, but the positives outweigh those 2 misses. I appreciate the ease of transferring everything to the new phone with Smart Switch, even seamlessly moved my Watch Ultra over. The battery life is incredible, leaving me with almost 40% battery at the end of the day after regular use throughout the day. The inside screen is great and the crease is totally unnoticeable when the screen is on. The hinge allows the phone to lie totally flat when open (though the camera bump prevents it from being at on a table entirely flat). The responsiveness is great too, especially when switching from the font screen to the second bigger screen inside. I am content in is durability too. All in all, I would suggest to friends and family to consider moving over to a fold phone. Specifically the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. This phone is very thing and much lighter than my S24 Ultra. It opens a whole new way of using a phone. Unfolded you can multitask with more apps open and with some apps expanding further. I can't praise this phone enough and there's no way I could go back to a slab phone. The outer display isn't quite as wide and the hight of my S24 Ultra but it's not much. I expect this will eventually change in future models My life cycle with phones is 2 year it'll be Fold 10 for me.

This phone has allowed me to multi cast and 2 both at the same time. 80% or more of the day is me being on my phone for work when I'm away from the desk. The battery last all day and the quality and brightness of the screen allows for me to do everything I can do on a computer to now do it on the phone. Outside of work I play racing games and gotcha games with the large screen size and the response time are on par with playing on a pc. This phone allows for me to control my house ecosystem.

The moment you unfold it, the screen just draws you in. It feels less like a phone and more like carrying a small tablet that happens to fit in my pocket. What sold me was the multitasking. I can have my notes open on one side, a browser on the other, and reply to messages without losing my place. For someone who works on the go, that has been a genuine game changer. The camera has surprised me too. Low light shots come out crisp, and the colours look true to life rather than overcooked. Battery life comfortably gets me through a full day, even with heavy use, which I did not expect from a foldable. Is it pricey? Yes. But it feels solid, the hinge is reassuringly sturdy, and the build quality justifies the cost. After a few weeks I can say it fits into my daily routine in a way no other phone has. I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 Ultra so that I could continue to do all of the things that I love on a larger screen including: watching movies, playing games, and multitasking! Now I get to continue doing the same on an even larger screen and with a better camera!
The Z Fold 8 Ultra looks like an amazing foldable Galaxy phone for 2026, with its bigger battery, Super Fast Charging 2.0, and a smarter processor. Plus, the higher brightness and display resolution mean a better experience for me while browsing my favorite sites and watching my favorite shows and movies. The colors seemed super vibrant without being overdone. And it seems I don't have to sacrifice camera performance for a foldable anymore. Photos seemed sharp and detailed, and night shots were excellent. Portrait mode has superb edge detection, and the ultrawide camera captures way more detail than I expected. I also love the "MY FANCAM" where I can crop a video out of a video and then focus on a certain person. That is something really really amazes me. To add, the hinge works smoothly with just the right amount of resistance. If you're into foldable phones, you'll probably love that the Z Fold 8 Ultra. A big step up from the Fold 7, offering flagship cameras, impressive battery life, awesome multitasking, and a premium build.

The phone is a lot thinner and less bulky than previous models making it absolutely perfect. The upgraded cameras are a huge bonus and makes it worth every penny. The screen and sound quailty is phenomenal and watching films or playing games is amazing. I wish it had a stylus but that doesn't take away from how great this phone is. Love the violet colour as well.

You can hardly see the crease in the screen, picture quality is amazing. The camera takes such lovely photos and it's so nice being able to turn to the larger screen when wanting to read a interesting article or watch a video. I just can't understand why the camera sticking out the way it does continues year after year. I understand that it has to stick out, but why not make it so that when you set the device down in doesn't wobble? Other than the wobble causing camera bulge, I love it.

Fold8 Ultra I have been using the older fold 6. The new improvement in battery and hinge mechanisim made to this year fold 8 ultra are significant. In my opinion, the phone is worth the upgrade.

I was gobsmacked when I actually received it. Plenty of discount on launch day and great trade in value (plus some Bud 4 pros thrown in for free- big upgrade to my Bud 3 pro). So the Fold. Well it's just awesome. I love the form factor and find it so great to use. Especially reading websites or email. Also watching YouTube. So glad I went Fold. Super responsive and light.

Fold 7 was tempting but the lacklustre battery life held me back. Finally this year, the fold 8 and fold 8 ultra addressed the battery life issue with keeping the same slim physical silhouette. I choose the fold 8 ultra because I wanted the better camera, even though the fold 8 form factor was very tempting. I will miss the s-pen sorely but I am loving the large main screen and how thin the phone feels in my hands. I also got the watch ultra 2 to go along with the phone.

I have only used Samsung phones for many years and don't see me using anything else for many more. I love the the sleek design of the zfold 8 ultra and the features are top notch. The only 2 features of my husband's S26 ultra that I wish the zfold 8 ultra had is the included S pen and the privacy screen setting.

Build quality is phenomenal, feels solid and well built. Love all the little touches with the software as well. Only thing I very much dislike is the speakers. Can't use speaker phone, which is how I normally always take calls. Volume is so soft and the speakers occasionally make crackling noise. S25 ultra was far superior in this aspect. Other than that I'm relatively satisfied.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
