I try the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8, and it’s the best flip phone I’ve ever seen. Samsung nailed the design refinements this year; the phone feels remarkably thin and lightweight in hand, and the crease on the inner screen is practically invisible! The performance is fast and responsive, with apps opening quickly and multitasking feeling effortless, and the camera takes sharp, vibrant photos. I also love the improved cover screen, which allows more apps to be accessed on the cover screen to check notifications and use essential features without unfolding the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After upgrading from a Flip to a Fold to last year the Samsung Galaxy Z flip8 is a much welcomed return to functional flip phones - no gimmicks. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my Z Flip 5 to the new Z Flip 8 as I was curious about upgrades. The camera is comparison is sharper with more features and the screen is also larger. It is (as advertised) quite thin and there is very little crease that is not noticeable when looking at the screen. Everything transitioned extremely smoothly from phone to phone and the mint color is very nice. The cover screen is fully functional now. My only complaint is that the hinge is much tighter than the Z Flip 5, and seems to "spring" open once the angle is great enough. This paired with the thin phone makes it a bit cumbersome to open as I feel like it could slip out of my hands, and I am hesitant to open it with only one hand. Other than this, I am quite satisfied.

The cover screen, I would have thought, would be more like a second screen that I can set up any way like, but it seems that we are limited to putting widgets on each page, and they are limited to the 2x2 and 2x4 size, rather than being able to have a full size widget. When I get a notification on the cover screen and tap to reply I get told to open the phone, why can't I just reply direct from the cover screen like I could on my flip5. The whole point of the bigger cover screen was that you can use that instead of opening phone all the time but seems like that thought went out the window. The tips app is also a little useless as it tells you what you can do but not how to do it and the settings in the phones now days are not simple and straight forward to just follow the promts as such.

Wow, not even sure where to start. All I am gonna say is if you want something practical, simple, yet advanced, LOOK NO FURTHER. The Z Flip 8 is a very nice phone. Amazing display, battery is not so bad whatsoever. No need to worry about the hinges when folding, it folds perfectly. The perfomance is exceptional, better than my S25 Ultra which was my previous phone. Get yourself a case, make it more durable but when getting this phone note that you are gonna need to be extra careful with it, as with any phone. You get used to the folding quickly if this is your first Flip. Might have to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra as well 😆. But yes, durability must be considered. Great for making space in your pocket 😆.

The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

It's cute, it's compact, and I can open and shut it. I also prefer the keyboard and the size of the phone since it is easier for me to type and handle. I almost got the Flip 7 for the gorgeous cobalt blue color (GBA SP nostalgia), but then we I found out they were releasing a pink Flip 8 I had to wait. The color is absolutely stunning and I am beyond happy with it. I also think the screen on this phone is a noticeable improvement from my Ultra 25. All in all I am incredibly happy with my purchase and I am going to stick with the Z line in the future!

With my z fold 8 the battery last all day on one charge. Also the display is so much better its bright when I need it to be and dim when I need it to be but not just the brightness you can't even see the crease from the hinge when its unfolded. Also for how thing the device is you can feel the durability of it in your hands when its unfolded it doesn't feel like it's going to snap.

The 8 is lighter, wider, crisper and has a much more seamless folding bezel with a satisfying, audible and soft close. Aside from the obvious benefits to upgrading from an older generation (battery life, bigger and better quality display), the flip8 feels like a more thought-out, premium device, as the hardware no longer has the tempered glass that made the flip3 feel slippery and fragile, and has a vastly improved IP rating of IP48, where the 3's IPX8 rating meant the screen is now lost to peeling from the protective film and scratches. The fold crease is also much more subtle. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice, and look forward to properly saying goodbye to the 3 once retailers start selling Flip8 cases and the screen protector comes back in stock!

I chose this device because I really like the small form factor and it fits in pockets a while lot better than the S23 Ultra this is replacing. I am a little disappointed that 512Gb was the maximum storage available. The hinge on this phone already feels quite a bit different than the Flip 3 5G that I had right before my S23 Ultra, so I have high hopes this will last longer than it did. So far, it's great and no problems to report.

I am personally not excited when new phones come out, because usually theres no improvement. The Flip 8, has sooo many improvements and evolution compared to the Flip 5. A smooth matte finish back decreases slipping. Protective buildt in covers on the fold mechanism, for those accidents. As a flip user the fold of the phone is usually where it is weak. Samsung has improved their design not only on the edges but the screens too. The flip screen is smooth and flawless and no fidgeting bump that was noticeable on the flip 5. The back screen is bigger and has easier functionality. The phone it self doesn't heat up when in the half fold position, which drained the battery on the old phones. The cameras almost the same as the old ones, but the zoom is MUCH better. A clear picture instead of pixels. I choose this device for the capabilities and awesome flawness. It is still the coolest phone on the market!

The flip 8 is thinner , lighter and has more options on the cover screen than the flip 7. I find that the crease is even less noticiable and the hinge seems nice and tight. The display is crisp and i love the AI wallpaper options as i can just describe the pic i want and it appears! I am sure i will find more things i love about this phone. The main reason i love a samsung flip phone is because you can easily slip it in a pocket or a small handbag. I have only had it for two days so cant really say much about the durability of this particular model but having had 3 previous models i can say that i usually upgrade after 2 years( though i only had the flip 7 for a year ) my phones are always still in great condition and working perfectly well after 2 years.

The cover screen allows me to do so much without having to open the phone, but when I do open the phone, I now have a nice big screen to work on. That makes the Z Flip 8 the perfect device for me. I love to show off how much fun it is taking group selfies because we can all see ourselves on the cover screen and I also like to use the split screen, especially when watching sports because I can check stats at the same time. This phone is my daily driver and it has plenty of power for me to do what I need for work. I'm not a big gamer so I can't comment on that. Video and productivity apps work fine for me. I have had other Samsung flips and hope they continue with this lineup.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is a real upgrade for me. 6.9 screen compared to 6.7, larger exterior screen that is actually usable, 50 mega pixel camera compared to 12, thinner, lighter, more battery life, and the crease is less noticeable, but that was never an issue for me.

The fold seems very stable and opening the phone 100 times a day for five years is said not to damage the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung z flip phone in 2020, very soon after they came out. I have always loved the idea of being able to put the phone in my pocket without it being overwhelming. I use the phone for both work and personal use, and absolutely love it. Most everyone I know, including my family are on iPhones, but I am never switching and will likely never have another phone that doesn't flip like this phone does. Luckily RCS fixed a lot of the issues with sending pictures back and forth. I have been disappointed with the durability of the screen where it folds. Seems like every really hot summer, it starts to separate just about the time the 1 year warranty expires, so I am hopeful the z flip 8 corrects this. This will never be enough for an issue for me to ever switch. I'm very happy with it so far, and pleased that Samsung continues to offer nice trade-in deals for well kept older model phones. Overall would recommend anyone try this phone, you won't be disappointed.

Love the new hinge as well shuts with a satisfying snap and the crease in the middle is noticeably less visible than the 6 (and I barely noticed it in real word use) all in all a very worth while upgrade.

This year I changed from S25+ to ZFlip 7 and I loved it, the screen looks better than the previous ZFlip. Now that the ZFlip 8 has pink version that i preffered, I chose to trade in my ZFlip 7. The pink colour is so pretty, i love it! Can't wait to customized it with themes and case that gonna looks cute with my pink ZFlip 8.

It is effortlessly chic especially to girls my age and to those who love pink! The inner crease is so minimal that you’ll barely notice it during daily scrolling! The cover screen is the real star of the show! The 4.1 inch outer display is my favorite upgrade here! Instead of feeling like a basic notification ticker, the larger layout makes the cover screen genuinely functional. Checking messages, changing tracks or snapping waist level photos without even opening the phone is seamless. Performance wise, this phone definitely flies! Multitasking is buttery smooth and the deep galaxy AI integration brings fun, genuinely useful tools for quick media tweaks and hands free framing. On the camera side of things, the 50 MP main camera takes crisp and vibrant photos and using the half folded camcorder or tent mode for effortless selfies and low angle shots is a total game changer! Overall, I am most definitely happy on this purchase! It is 100% worth my money!

The matte finish on the black version looks super clean and premium, and it folds down so compactly that it fits into any pocket effortlessly. I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
