Galaxy Z Flip8

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to the Flip8 from the Flip3 and I must say, the experience is worth it. The 8 is lighter, wider, crisper and has a much more seamless folding bezel with a satisfying, audible and soft close. Aside from the obvious benefits to upgrading from an older generation (battery life, bigger and better quality display), the flip8 feels like a more thought-out, premium device, as the hardware no longer has the tempered glass that made the flip3 feel slippery and fragile, and has a vastly improved IP rating of IP48, where the 3's IPX8 rating meant the screen is now lost to peeling from the protective film and scratches. The fold crease is also much more subtle. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice, and look forward to properly saying goodbye to the 3 once retailers start selling Flip8 cases and the screen protector comes back in stock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My main reason for getting a new phone was because my old was losing charge all the time and having to be charged 3 or 4 times a day. With my z fold 8 the battery last all day on one charge. Also the display is so much better its bright when I need it to be and dim when I need it to be but not just the brightness you can't even see the crease from the hinge when its unfolded. Also for how thing the device is you can feel the durability of it in your hands when its unfolded it doesn't feel like it's going to snap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my new phone. It's so cute and pocket sized aswell as really customisable from the cover screen to the apps. Battery is great and the screen is seamless, no crease hardly at all. I do wish there was a better camera on this model but it's still pretty good and takes nice photos. I've had the flip 6 aswell and with both of these phones ive never had an issue with the hinge or responsiveness. The durability is pretty good as I've dropped it a few times and it's never stopped working on me.

The battery life is excellent and I'm impressed with the new crease hinge. It appears to be even more flexible. It has improved responsiveness which is delightful. Overall I'm delighted with my new Flip 8 and I've recommended it to several friends and family as their contract have expired. Long live the Flip phone as it fits perfectly into each of my handbags and is amazing fit in a pocket.

Noticably less of a crease than on the 6 .Flex window now more usable than before with more apps that can be used on it. Which should mean less opening to full size to check notices therefore improving the durability of the hinge. Have so far found both main & flex screens give a real feeling of responsiveness. Have added flex window protector & a case to keep my flip 8 safely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new flip 8. I previously had the flip 7 and have had a flip since the flip 3 . The flip 8 is thinner , lighter and has more options on the cover screen than the flip 7. I find that the crease is even less noticiable and the hinge seems nice and tight. The display is crisp and i love the AI wallpaper options as i can just describe the pic i want and it appears! I am sure i will find more things i love about this phone. The main reason i love a samsung flip phone is because you can easily slip it in a pocket or a small handbag. I have only had it for two days so cant really say much about the durability of this particular model but having had 3 previous models i can say that i usually upgrade after 2 years( though i only had the flip 7 for a year ) my phones are always still in great condition and working perfectly well after 2 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decided to upgrade from my flip 4 which I had for 4 years. It has been great apart from the hinge that failed, but got it fixed under warranty. The flip 8 is a significant improvement in terms of speed, build quality and of course folds and fits nicely in my pocket. Very impressed so far. If you want a small folding mobile, buy this!

Performance excellent and Cameras are great. Was really pleasantly surprised at the the number of apps which you can put on the cover screen and the ease of using them. I am using the phone in the closed format far more than I would have thought possible. All in all an excellent purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful phone, I upgraded from the flip 6 and there is such an upgrade to the feel of it. I was worried as spec wise it's not a huge leap but oh how I was wrong 🥺 also massively helps its link 💅 great battery life, hinge feels so much stronger than the flip 6, crease is far less noticeable currently but we will see how it holds up! I am never going back to a normal phone!!!!

But device has definitely evolved and Samsung is finally catching up with the competition (despite being pioneers in the field). Like form factor. Battery has improved. Crease is better too. Storage should have been upgraded to double as Samsung used to. Sadly not anymore and I am feeling it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third Z Flip that I have purchased and both previous devices were excellent, but I always wanted the screen to be slightly wider. The Z Flip 8 is wider and feels much better. The screen quality is better and the crease is very much diminished since Z Flip 6. The overall experience is much improved.

The battery appears better and the crease is not visible (i was not bothered by the crease on my flip 6), although my flip 6 was 2 years old.

The durability also feels better. The responsiveness feels similar to the old models but the outter screen is more useful. All in all a great phone.

Love the new hinge as well shuts with a satisfying snap and the crease in the middle is noticeably less visible than the 6 (and I barely noticed it in real word use) all in all a very worth while upgrade.

The display is much brighter than what I thought and from use, the crease is nearly non-existant. Overall, I love this device.

Having Samsung's software dumped on top of Googles is painful, there are so many duplicated apps and features, let alone pre-installed apps I have had to delete like instagram and Facebook. The switch system worked to a point but it was far from complete and not as effective as I hoped. I don't mind getting to learn new things but the whole app tray thing is nonsense, just another duplicative lump of software. It's taken me a week of learning how to get around, many things found out by accident and trial and error. The Tips menu is alright but not that brilliant. The OS generally is not intuitive. However I love the phone design, its lightness, its surprising screen real estate. The batter life is excellent, the hinge is fine, the crease is occasionally visible but in use you would never really know. Where it lets itself down most is signal capture...it's below par in areas where coverage is lighter than full. Gemini Ai is excellent compared to even the new version of Siri and forget Bixby, totally duff.
