Cleaning the Deodoriser in a Samsung Fridge

Some Samsung fridges come with a deodoriser that will need to be cleaned periodically. For best results, the deodoriser cartridge should be cleaned about once or twice a year.

NOT all Samsung fridges come with a deodoriser. You can check your particular model by referring to the enclosed user manual, which you can also download it from the Manuals & Downloads page.

Please follow the instructions below to locate and clean the deodoriser in your Samsung Fridge.

Note: Not all refrigerators have a deodoriser. If you do not see one, then your fridge does not have one.

How do I clean the deodorizer in my refrigerator?
1 Remove the cover with a flat head screwdriver.
2 Remove the Deodoriser Cartridge from the cover and soak it in clean, warm water for at least 4 hours.
3 Then, allow the cartridge to dry completely before replacing it in the holder. This can take up to 8 hours in a well-ventilated area.

Type 1:

How do I clean the deodorizer in my refrigerator?
1 Put a flat-head screwdriver in the groove on the bottom of the deodoriser filter cover, and gently pry up.
2 Replace the filter, and then put the filter cover back.

*The recommended usage period of the deodoriser filter is one year, and the period may vary depending on your usage. Contact Us to purchase the deodoriser filter separately.

Type 2:

Samsung Top Mount Fridge.
1 While holding the top and bottom sides of the filter case, unlock the filter case to reveal the Deodoriser Filter (A).
2 Remove the Deodoriser Cartridge from the cover and soak it in clean, warm water for at least 4 hours.
3 Then, allow the cartridge to dry completely before replacing it in the holder. This can take up to 8 hours in a well-ventilated area.
