I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 because I wanted a phone with a larger screen that could still fit in my pocket. I use the cover screen for quick messages, calls, and checking notifications. When I open the phone, the larger display is very useful for watching videos, gaming, studying, and doing schoolwork. I also like using multiple apps at the same time, especially when I need to take notes while reading something online. The phone feels fast, the screen looks clear, and the folding design makes everyday tasks more convenient. It took me a little time to get used to all the features, but my overall experience has been very good.

I chose the pistachio color and I'm so glad I did — it's such a fresh, elegant shade that stands out without being flashy. Photos really don't do it justice in person.
Delivery was another pleasant surprise — it arrived earlier than the scheduled date, which made the wait even more exciting.
As for the phone itself, it's very easy to handle and fits perfectly in my hand. Despite being a foldable, it doesn't feel bulky or awkward at all — just smooth, comfortable, and well-balanced.
Overall, a fantastic purchase. Highly recommend if you're considering the pistachio colorway!

After watching the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event and seeing the new Z Fold 8, it was a no-brainer. I chose to upgrade from my Z Fold 5, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I thought that the Fold 5 was the best phone I had ever owned, but the Fold 8 quickly surpassed it. So easy to set up and transfer from my old phone. The folded size is brilliant, providing a smaller (but still spacious) area, but I still have the option to unfold the phone and utilize the HUGE landscape display. So much easier to use apps side-by-side. This phone really has it all. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

I chose to upgrade my flip 6 to the new Fold 8 because I find myself using my mobile for more than content creation. A big part is office work on the go including Teams, Outlook and CRM activities. With its new form factor it's easy to run a meeting and then do my email follow ups.
Using social media apps are a breeze and the expanded display is vivid and smooth visually.
The camera works great and the pictures are are crisp looking even in lower light.
I love how the front screen is super useful and can run apps, get notifications without having to open the full phone.
So far it's a great phone. The future of mobility is here and it's brought to you by Samsung.

I chose the z fold8, and the screen aspect ratio is a huge upgrade.
The shorter, wider cover screen actually feels like a real albeit smaller phone, so typing isn't cramped anymore. Inside, the main screen opens up to a proper tablet shape instead of a weirdly tall square. That extra width makes reading, browsing, and watching videos way better.
The Z Fold8 Ultra is just too awkwardly shaped for me. The standard Fold8 is much more practical day to day and gives you a true tablet experience when unfolded.

I chose the z fold 8. Everything since the z fold 4 I've always had a z fold in my pocket. The z fold 8 is a nice miniature productivity powerhouse that can easily fit in my pocket.
Taking quick notes, creating tasks on ticktick, feel better and more natural on the wider cover screen.
Watching video and reviewing PDF files, Word documents, spreadsheets on the inner 7.6 in inner screen is also great, even better when you rotate it from landscape to portrait.
Over all this is a nice well rounded phone and a lot of people can make use of this phone no matter the situation or location.

I chose the Galaxy Z-Fold 8 over the 8 Ultra, because I wanted the pocket size feeling of the Z-Flip, with the convenience of the fold-out full screen. I watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn, read kindle books and fly often, so it's very convenient to have a phone, kindle size screen and tablet in one. It's a dream to have it all in a pocket size! The new width of the closed front screen makes it very comfortable to read and type without needing to fold the phone open. I find myself using it closed a lot more than before, saving battery life.
Thanks, Samsung, for creating such a perfectly sized fold phone!

The phone itself is amazing but can get a bit hot after continuous use. Also, I wish this phone had the sonic fingerprint sensor like the other newer galaxy lineups. Battery is mid tier, once the new ones get the silicone battery I'm sure it will be better. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for the newer models.
One more thing, the hinge is not as transparent as before but it's still noticeable which compared to the new oppo products, this fails in comparison.

I chose the Z Fold 8 to replace my S25 ultra. The last foldable i tried was the fold 6 and wasn't sure if i was going to like this one. Let me tell you the new wide display is a game changer. I can do almost everything on it, but when I do need a larger display for multi tasking or watching movies it's good to have the option of only carrying one device. This is an excellent choice, if you are not sure if you should get it, just do it, you won't regret it.

I chose the z fold8 as my new phone for the new form factor. I absolutely love the size and shape of the phone. It's easier to reach the top, watch videos and hold. It's so lightweight and doesn't weigh down my bag and pocket nearly as much as my S24 Ultra. I don't think I will ever not have a fold again. I got the lavender color and it is absolutely stunning. Overall, I highly recommend this phone, I have absolutely zero complaints only positives!

I chose the Fold 8 first and foremost for the form factor. The cover screen ration is perfect and I've been waiting for another phone to use this form factor for years. Samsung knocked it out of the park and brought their highly polished and extremely customizable experience along with them. I was sold the minute I saw the Fold 8. I've been playing with the device all day and I am very impressed. I can see myself using this one for a very long time to come and it makes me feel something no other modern phones have. Cannot wait to see how content and apps evolve to take advantage of this phone!

As a long time Samsung owner of all the galaxy phone, I chose this new form factor because of the new design, portability and stylish look. I wish the phone had come with better camera though. Also I was not too happy that the incentive to trade in got better after the first day of pre-order which I was a part of.
what's the point of day one pre-order if the offering will get better after day one pre-order?
Anyways, outside of that Fold 8 is great.

I chose this upgrade to the Fold 8 because I was interested in the new form factor due to how cramped the cover screen of the Fold 6 felt for daily usage. I will say this was an immediate and very noticeable improvement and I actually prefer the wider format for my use case as a fun portable phone with a big screen experience, the lack of telephoto camera doesn't bother me too much since I prefer to carry my actual camera if I plan to get true higher end quality that only a true camera like a mirrorless could provide anyway. Time will tell so far if battery has made a noticeable improvement.

I have had many Samsung phones over the years, I chose to go with the Galaxy Z Fold8, and I'm really happy with my choice. The larger foldable display is perfect for multitasking, reading, streaming, and getting work done without carrying a tablet. When folded, it still feels like a premium everyday phone that fits comfortably in my pocket.
The performance is fast and responsive, the battery easily gets me through the day, and the cameras take excellent photos in a variety of situations. I also appreciate the improved durability and refined design. The crease is barely noticeable to the touch or eye.
If you're looking for a phone that stands out while offering great productivity and entertainment, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is absolutely worth considering.

I chose the Z Fold8 over the ultra because of the form factor. I have been wanting a phone with a similar screen to the Galaxy Note 5 since I switched it out for the S10 Plus. Unfortuanetly everyone seems to have gone away with mini phones but this phone fills that hole nicely. It is just sucks that the mini phone starts at such a high price but at least it exists.

I chose this model because it reminded me of the old square phones. I like that this phone is light and quick to switch from front screen to larger display. So far the lack of a third camera has not bothered me, but the soundfrom these speakers is very flat almost tinny. I must say I enjoy this phone but it could be improved.

I was so excited to see "arriving August 5th" in my email. My birthday is tomorrow and after unboxing, I cannot think of a better birthday present. I chose to be part of the z series family starting with the fold 2. I have always been...ok....with it's tall form factor but secretly admired the shape of the pixel fold. When they announced the fold 8....I knew I had to choose this one. Folds are .ore than just an option, they are a multitask necessity. I have chosen to continue being a good user and I do not think I will go back. Great job samsung! Proud to be a galaxy fan since the s2 and Samsung user since the blackjack 2.

I chose to make the change from my S26 to the Z fold and I'm satisfied with the transition. I'm so glad I chose to get the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8!I have been a loyal Samsung customer since my first purchase of the Galaxy S4 ! Then after several different slab phones. I decided to try the Z Flip 5 then upgraded to the Z Flip7. This Z Fold 8 is the best of both worlds! The cover screen is enough to do your daily things like texting, phone calls, returning emails, and running apps. Then when you open is up....it's nice to have a bigger screen to watch videos and do multi-tasking. It's like having 2 for 1! Phone and mini tablet all in one device! This is such a game changer! Yes people will complain about the cameras. If you want a better camera go spend the money on a digital camera. This camera is enough to take pictures and post them online or send it to family. Honestly, for me, this such an amazing device! Great job Samsung!

I've been really impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold8. The biggest improvement for me is its compact and lighter design. When folded, it feels much more comfortable to hold and fits easily in my pocket, making it practical for everyday use. It still opens into a large display when I need it for multitasking, videos, or reading, so I get the best of both worlds. Samsung did a great job making the Fold8 feel like a normal phone without sacrificing the benefits of a foldable. Definitely my favorite Fold so far.

Low trade-in on ZF4 is the dealbreaker. ZF5 has a reasonable trade-in, and it is practically no different from the ZF4. Each year, we wait. Now, we are having to consider other options from competitors, for a better deal. Would love to have... but not at a crazy price that OBVIOUSLY holds no trade-in value after a few generations. $2,500 is too much to lose.

I chose the Galaxy Fold 8 because I wanted a phone that could genuinely replace both my regular phone and a small tablet, and it has exceeded my expectations. The large inner display is fantastic for reading, watching videos, multitasking, and getting real work done, while the outer screen is perfect for quick everyday use.
The phone feels incredibly polished and premium, the performance is fast and responsive, and switching between screens and apps is seamless. I especially love being able to run multiple apps at once without everything feeling cramped. Despite all the technology packed into it, it still feels practical enough to use every day.
There is a small learning curve when moving from a traditional phone, but after using the Fold 8, a normal phone already feels limiting. Samsung did an outstanding job with this one.

I chose this product to replace my z fold 7 as I've always had difficulty with Operating the phone from the front screen and holding the phone when unfolded.
The z fold 8 seems to have solved both of these issues and may be my new form factor for the foreseeable future.

I choose the Fold 8 because of the new size. The phone fits in my hands almost perfectly. I have used other folding phones before and always felt like it was good but not perfect. I find myself using the phone more now then my previous device. The Fold 8 is so light and compact when folded. It's not bulky in pockets like earlier versions. The screen is beautiful too. Everything I have watched looks amazing. I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone.

I chose the Galaxy Z Fold 8 because I wanted a phone that could do more without feeling bulky. Finally Samsung made a phone that supports the form factor, features, and everything I was looking for in a folding, productivity device. With it's wider aspect ratio, I find multitasking better, even more so than the ZFold8 Ultra, and all around better experience than any other phone device (and I've had plenty over the years).
The size and hand feel, as well as the pocket feel, is perfect (chef's kiss), everything one could actually want in a mobile device. Easily the best folding phone available to date.

I chose Samsung over all other brands I have been buying the fold since it first came out..upgrading every year hoping to find "the one". Prior to this smaller 8..the 6 was my favorite.. but I think I have finally found a keeper! I am not interested in the tri fold..and just wanted something with a bit more real estate than a standard phone. This fold is the one! Perfect size..feels good in hand now if the battery will just last a bit longer I will be in heaven! Thank you Samsung!

I chose the Z fold 8 because 5.5-inch cover display changes everything. It is wider, shorter, and feels much closer to typing on a standard slab phone. I can easily navigate with one hand, type without thumb cramps, and slip the device into any pocket without it feeling awkward.

the aspect ratio is perfect for watching videos, browsing web pages, social media apps, etc. this has been the most enjoyable foldable phone I have ever owned. the shape is perfect for my hands when the phone is closed. I have only one complaint, and it's that the cameras could be better. other than that, this phone is literally perfect! I traded in my z fold 7 for this new shaped z fold 8 and have zero regrets!

I previously had the fold 5. I chose the new fold 8 because of the wider display making it easier to text and use the device. Ive had iphones and pixels. My only complaint with my previous fold 5 was that it was difficult texting with such a small keyboard the phone needed to be opened to even use. Since ive been using the fold 8 i havent opened it more than 5 times and mostly for videos which are huge. Im surprised the wider fold 8 isnt the ultra its better in my opinion.

I chose the Z Fold 8 specifically because of the new aspect ratio of the screen. It makes it so much better for consuming media. I'll hold it horizontally for YouTube and when I want to scroll apps like Instagram turning the phone 90 degrees makes it a breeze
Another thing I'm appreciating is the shape of the phone when it's folded. The shorter and wider form factor makes it so much easier to navigate and utilize apps with the cover screen. I don't feel like I need to unfold my phone every time just to send a text message.

I chose the galaxy fold 8 for flexibility and reliability that comes from being able to multitasking with duel screen mode, but I fell in love with the beauty of the sleek design and the best camera I've had to date. I purchase for the multitasking capabilities but now I use it to take photos of my painted miniatures. I will never go back to non folding phones or another brand.

It began with Samsung Z Fold 1 almost eight years ago, ever since then, I've upgraded every year so I can speak for myself when I say, by far, Samsung has put together its best Fold ever. I chose Samsung Z Fold 8 not only for its design, weight, and aesthetic but for its endless number of features that are too long to list for my daily use. Its battery has gotten a lot better as well. I will be choosing another Samsung Z Fold 9 come next year.

I chose the zfold8 for the form factor. Having had the zfold5 then zflip7. The zf8 is the perfect size. Not to big or small. Still comfortable to hold when open, but I can go all day not opening it if need be. I absolutely love it. Fits in my scrub pocket at work and a small purse while out. It's typical samsung so I still get all the UI functionality I love.

I've been use the Z phone for a while so I want to give the new fold a try since this is smaller than the ultra. I like it small and big as the same time. Smoothly fold and barely see the fold line. I always have trouble with the zflip's screen, they always peel out by itself. The screen is easy damage when I hold the key with it on busy hand. It destroys the pixels. Hopefully this one will go smoothly. It does very good so far

I chose this z fold 8 after going back and forth between this and the flip. This one fits nicely in my palm when closed. Previously had the s24 ultra and still love that phone as well. But it was super top heavy and couldn't fit in purses etc. Folded out I love using the multiple apps. I keep forgetting the crease at all. Only downside is while charging and running apps it tends to get really hot. But maybe that's a sign for me for less screentime.

I had the zfold 7 and I chose the zfold 8 due to the aspect ratio. I felt like the full screen in the 7 is basically the same size as regular phones with black bars on top and bottom.

My first 24 hours with my new Z Fold8 has been flawless. As I expect from my Samsung devices. It is solid in the hand and lite enough to hold all day long.
It is my digital companion, keeping me on time, in contact and safe.
The AI is very helpful. From handling message prioritizing, scanning all incoming calls, both of which save me annoyances and time. It also makes editing photo's a breeze. I cannot wait to see what else it can do.

I've been using the Galaxy Z Fold8, and it's easily the best foldable phone I've owned. The larger cover screen feels much more natural for everyday use, and opening it up into the tablet-sized display is fantastic for multitasking, reading, and watching videos. The hinge feels solid, the phone is noticeably slimmer and lighter, and it fits comfortably in my pocket.
Performance has been flawless. Apps launch instantly, multitasking is smooth, and the battery easily lasts me through a full day. Samsung's software takes great advantage of the folding design, making split-screen apps and multitasking genuinely useful rather than just a gimmick.
The cameras produce sharp, vibrant photos, and the overall build quality feels premium. Overall, this is a great product, and I've really enjoyed using it. The performance is smooth, it's easy to use, and it feels like a well-built, high-quality device. Everything works as expected, and it's been reliable for both everyday tasks and more demanding use.
The only thing I wish was better is the camera. It's perfectly usable for everyday photos and video calls, but I was hoping for sharper image quality, better low-light performance, and more detail in pictures. It's not a dealbreaker by any means, but it's the one area where I think there's the most room for improvement.
Aside from that, I've had a very positive experience. The battery life, overall performance, and user experience have all met or exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a dependable device, especially if the camera isn't their top priority.

I have had multiple generations of the Z Fold and don't think I could go back to a one screen phone. I chose the Z Fold 8 (wide) this time as it still is a fold but seemed like an even better form factor. Just recieved it yesterday and I do not regret my decision at all. As expected quality of the phone is out standing. Form factor is just what I was waiting for. Don't use the camera much but with the price tag, it should have included 8 ultra camera. Other than that phone is just what I was looking for.

I chose to go with the Cream color because I think it has a nice clean look. This phone will be great for streaming videos and occasional gaming. Love the new size!

I previously had the Galaxy Flip 5 and decided it was time to make the swap so I chose to switch to the new Fold 8. The transfer process was incredibly easy and I can already tell there is a major difference in performance. Looking forward to using this device for the years to come!

It looks very good—much easier to read and to carry around compared to Zfold 7. I really like it, but I suggest using a better camera.

So this has been the most fun and amazing tech I've held in a long time. I chose the Z Fold 8 in the 256gb lilac or lavender color. I've watched probably 8 hours of content on it in the less than 24 hours I've had it, and I just can't go back now.

I had Z fold 3-6 and skipped the 7 as I get kind of no needs or feel of upgrade. However, this year is different!. New form factor, and I love it. It is just perfect size for my need. I am glad I upgradedfrom Z Fold 6 to Z Fold 8.

I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 because it's exceptionally compact but still serves a great purpose once you open it. I've owned every Galaxy Fold since the Fold 4, and I remember unboxing that first one. It was a beast of a phone, honestly closer to a paperback than something pocket-friendly.
The first thing I did when I opened the box wasn't turn it on, it was just hold it. Closed, it's so slim I kept checking if I'd grabbed the wrong phone. It genuinely feels like carrying a small notepad instead of a folding computer. That's the upgrade I've been waiting for since the Fold 4.
Open it up and it becomes a full canvas, perfect for the moments that actually need the extra screen, without feeling like I'm carrying a tablet around all day.
What impresses me most isn't one single spec, it's how unnoticeable the compromises have become. The early Folds made you feel that trade-off between phone and tablet. This one doesn't. It just feels like the right size, all the time.
Four generations in, this is the first Fold that's made me stop thinking about the fold and just enjoy the phone.

I've been a Pixel user for years. When I saw the Z Fold 8, I became intrigued. After watching the keynote, I was convinced. I'm so happy I bought the hardware; it's beautiful and feels premium, and the new form factor is fantastic.

I chose the z fold 8 phone for it's thin design, and I like that it's still small enough to fit in my pocket but opens up bigger for better streaming and visibility. Very easy set up. I love the lavender color.

I've been carrying the Z Fold Wide as my daily driver for the past couple weeks, and it's the first foldable that's actually replaced my regular phone instead of feeling like a novelty.
The big change is the shape — shorter and wider than every Fold before it. Folded, it sits in my pocket like a normal phone instead of poking out. Unfolded, the 7.6" screen is closer to a small tablet, which makes it genuinely great for multitasking — email in one pane, a doc or spreadsheet in the other.
Performance has been smooth with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 — no lag switching between apps or running heavier tasks. Battery life is solid for a foldable, though I'm charging every night without fail; the 4,800mAh cell is an improvement over last year but still not class-leading.
Camera is good, not great — the 50MP main and ultrawide handle daily shots well, but there's no telephoto, so anything beyond digital zoom loses detail fast. If zoom matters to you, look at the Ultra instead.
The crease is far less noticeable than on older Folds, and the hinge feels solid. My one real complaint: still no dust resistance rating at this price point, which feels like an oversight in 2026.
Bottom line: if you want a foldable that's actually comfortable to carry and use one-handed, this is the one to get. If you need zoom or an S Pen, the Ultra is the better fit.

I chose the ZFOLD8 mainly because of the smaller form factor. My case arrived a day before the device and I looked at it and thought it might be to small but I bought one it so let's see how this goes.... I should mention that this is my 4th Zfold device.
Upon arrival I was really surprised at the feel closed and loved that I could reach the entire screen one handed and not feel like I was going to drop it due to a case I purchased with a strap on the back which is a must have for a foldable device! Upon opening the screen It felt very balanced and comfortable although the key board felt like I was reaching further due to the extra width when it is open to get tothe middle keys so I went to a split keyboard as I use on my tablets, you get used to it pretty quickly. In the open position apps feel very functional and not difficult to use mostly... A couple apps are weird in landscape mode because they were not designed to be used in landscape but as with any new device they will confirm as people comment about it
As for video it's nice to not see all of the wasted screen at the top and bottom. Open screen doesn't play well with portrait video unless you change to portrait orientation but then its better than ever. Thank God for the strap on the back again...
I love how this device fits in my pocket and I buy pants that have a designated pocket for my phone it isn't hanging out.
Now when I see a huge ultra sized phone in someone's hand I think... What a waste!

I chose the Fold 8 for the passport style form factor. Samsung has these phones dialed in and after using folding phones for years, the passport shape made perfect sense the moment I saw it.

I chose the ZFold 8 based on the form factor and updates from the ZFold 7. The form is perfect in my hands and pocket! The shorter and wider screen allows more comfortability in using phone closed as well as open. The internal crease and crisp snap of closing is impressive. I have had many versions of the Z series and this is by far the best! I cannot wait to use it to watch media while I travel for work. All my work applications are at my fingertips and seamlessly work open and closed. I cannot wait to put this through the paces! Also looking forward to exploring the AI features as well! I use this for work, personal day to day tasks, etc. I love the white/bone color. PLEASE KEEP THIS FORM FACTOR!!! The brightness and reduced glare are very impressive. I have been tracking this since rumors leaked at end of 2025. So happy it is finally here!!
