The aspect ratios fit perfectly when expanded, portrait and landscape which is one of my favourite things about the phone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had two foldables in my time that have improved my life including the Samsung Z Fold 2, and the Honor Magic V3. They've been incredible phones, and foldable phones give you much more of a different life style than normal phones do and I'm blessed to be able to own one. When I'm doing something quick I can use the cover screen, and then when I'm doing something longer the bigger internal screen is key. But honestly the longer I have the fold for, the more I slip back into using just the cover screen, and just ignore the larger screen inside. That's not the case with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. This smaller design might just be exactly what I've been looking for for years and not known it. I've always gone for the bigger phone, and when transferring everything from one to the other, I often look at the smaller phone and think "how did I get by with this?" With this phone I've had the opposite affect! When looking at the taller candy bar sized phone I'm thinking "how did I use such a tall phone?" the Z Fold 8 is honestly the perfect size. It fits in pockets easily and anything that needs doing fast ice got a small outlet for it, and because it's not too big I can get on with my day. But if I need entertainment and the like on breaks, unfold this beauty into the perfect media consuming device. The aspect ratio is perfect for widescreen media, photos fit perfectly in the 4:3 screen and look amazing, and honestly it just makes sense to be like this. I've only had the phone for a few days and honestly my day to day routine has been changed for the better already. Thank you Samsung!

New silicon carbon battery is a great upgrade, with all day battery life. Displays are sharp with more than enough brightness. Feels durable in the hand but would definitely recommend a front and back case of some sort. The new hinge feels sturdy and forces itself open after a certain point. The new chip make the phone extremely responsive and handles any tasks with ease. If you're tempted, just get one, you'll only regret not getting it sooner!

The phones Responiveness is smooth in all tasks ive used it for. The Battery is reasonable with most high end phones. Display on both sceens are really nice. The battery life is phenomenal — although it’s my second phone, I’ve had it on 24/7 since release and have only charged it twice! The sleek design is what first drew me to it, as it folds down to a compact size that fits easily into almost any pocket or bag, especially compared with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The display is fantastic, and the camera takes outstanding, crystal-clear photos. The hinge feels strong and sturdy, making it easy to open and close. I also love the responsiveness of the phone, especially being able to text, call, browse the internet and do pretty much everything from the front screen without having to fully open it. I absolutely love this phone!

Fits great in jeans pockets and the right size to do everything on the go right on the cover screen. Fold 8 open 😜 and its like a kindle size device. Super comfortable to hold, genuinely the perfect size for other tasks that require more attention. The display quality is fantastic So far. The battery life is great. I've had it 4 days now and only charged it twice. I can't comment on durabilty just yet as ive not had it long enough but It eems solid. But that device got stuck on Android 13. The Z Fold 8 will get at least seven major upgrades and so it should being a flagship entity. The first thing that hits you is the size. Suggestive of a passport, it fits easily into a pocket; 9.7mm when folded. It is considerably thinner that what I had. It is 4.5mm when unfolded. When opened it is roughly the size of an Amazon Kindle. The screen has significantly less glare and razor sharp resolution of 1828x2448 and featuring an AMOLED 2X display. The camera features two 50 Megapixel cameras on the rear of unit plus two additional cameras; one on the cover screen and the other on the main. Sadly there is no telephoto lens. Using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, I find blazing fast and able to cope with most tasks that I do. In the course of time, more and more applications will be written/rewritten to take advantage of fold screens. In settings under Display》Aspect Ratio, every application can be set to run in full screen mode. Enjoying this phone so far as a massive improvement over my previous phone.

Es un diseño muy cómodo. Puede parecer que plegado es pequeño pero la realidad es que no se hecha en falta pantalla grande. Y desplegado es una maravilla para ver videos. Las cámaras son más que aceptables y la batería quizás algo justa...pero muy aceptable.

The hinge mechanism is really sturdy and it's so light? It's literally thinner than my old phone but somehow has 3 screens, amazing. I've fitted an Aramid case from Spidgen to keep it safe which is really nice. It still feels very durable though, even with the thinness. Happy with the battery so far, great to finally see SiC battery tech in the phones this year. UI is great as always and very responsive.

This was dye to the thin and tall form factor. The Fold 8 flips this, I love using the front screen for all my notifications and quick browsing but when I need to I open up to a tablet size that is much better to use. And every time you pick up the Fold 8 you are surprised by how light it is, you expect it to be heavier, and it jyst feels right to hold and use. This has now for me anyway replaced both my Fold and Flip phones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my new Lavender fold 8 this week to replace my Flip 6. Am really liking the size as can do most things when folded, the flip outer screen was too small for most things. When want to work, read or play games can open up and have fabulous viewing screen. Love that can pop things side by side so can work from 2 things at once. Can also put 3 up if needed which is useful. The hinge seems very smooth and sturdy so far. Battery lasts well and lots of features built in to help improve battery health, like delayed full charge overnight. Lots of options to protect from theft etc and lock access if snatched. Screen can be fully utilised by hiding the status bars and having swipe gestures instead. Camera has lots of new things to try out and can be used for more professional content in Raw setting. Generally I am very happy I upgraded to the new phone. At the moment shock proof cases are a bit limited which is definitely something I need. Am sure new things will become available soon. I think this affected great next step up from the flip series if want something a bit larger and more functional. Def a larger outlay but did get a good trade in on my older phone as well as some discounts.

I was scared of the size because I loved how small the flip 7 is and i changed to the fold 8 but the size is perfect folded and unfolded. I have small hands and i can still hold it comfortably in any mode. The phone is very responsive and quick. The graphics is good and the apps i use look good in both modes. So far it is durable, I have just been using it for a few days but it slipped from my hands once and it remained unscattered. The hinge looks solid and smooth, barely any crease when unfolded but i have never had any issues with the crease, i find it part of the package of having a foldable phone so it never bothered me both on the fold and even when i used the flip 7. The battery so far is fine. lasts the whole day even with every use. I got it in lavender and i love the colour (I am a big purple fan), I use clear cases because the colour deserves to be shown off and not covered up.

La verdad es que era algo reticente, al cambiar del flip 7, pero sorprendido por la autonomía de la batería. Pero todavía hay mejora. Por ejemplo, una cámara teleobjetivo. Algo más de batería unos 5500 Mah, junto una carga de 65W, por ejemplo. Hay que recordar que si es el producto más caro junto con el Fold Ultra tiene que ser acorde a su gama premium. La pantalla externa es más cómoda por ejemplo para leer que en los Fold anteriores y más usable que la del Flip. La pantalla interior es ideal, para ver contenido multimedia, leer libros, Pdf, Usar con ofimática o gestión de archivos. Elige bien la funda, son caras y dejan algo que desear, al menos las no originales. Hay una de la marca Aulum que protege muy bien, supongo que como una que tiene samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this device, have been using this for only a week (At the writing of this review), battery fits my needs from a work life balance, display is amazing and allows me to digest whatever content i want be that Instagram, YouTube etc etc. Both the inside display which allows a desktop feel to my mobile life and the external display that give me a vibe form the days of HTC Desire (I'm that old), love the ability to switch between the two worlds. Love this word but from a physical standpoint the "Pocketability" of this device is amazing, i am not one for massive devices having had the S22 Ultra many years ago and loving the device and the sheer scale of screen, but with the constant bulking my pockets or even hanging out of and then almost needing a bag to hold the device. I moved to the Z Flip 5 and loving the foldable environment but found the screen to limiting even though i moved to the Z Flip 7 last year, the Fold 8 has solved everything for me in the smaller form in my pocket and then having the flexibility to move to a larger screen (Almost tablet sized), i can't speak higher of the form of the device at this stage. I am amazed at both the durability of the hinge and screens with an awesome responsiveness with all the needs and i am so happy that i made the switch from my Flip 7 that allows me to do anything i need the device to complete. My needs are mainly media be that music or video and being able to move from screen to screen seamless is amazing and love to have the option (which is why i moved), i can't recommend enough for Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, Spotify etc etc IT IS AMAZING!!!! Also a side note the sound capabilities are awesome to from both the speakers and the software through the Buds Pro 4 that i purchased with the phone, i don't claim to be an audiophile but have been through my share of earphones, headphones (Wired and Wireless) and phone configs and out of the box this device has blown anything i have used/setup in the past out of the water!!

Llevo 3 días con mi Z Fold 8 y me está gustando muchísimo. He cambiado desde un Z Flip 5 y la experiencia es genial. Aunque podía usar el Z Flip 5 cerrado, al final tenía que abrirlo pars muchas tareas. La ventaja del Z Fold 8 es que sigue siendo un móvil compacto que me cabe en el bolsillo y que no necesito abrir constantemente. Para ver videos en Youtube, leer o ver series el abrir la pantalla es muy cómodo. También he notado la diferencia en la calidad de las fotos. Además, he pasado de una memoria de 512 Gb a una de 1Tb, lo cual es un desahogo a la hora de tener que borrar archivos con frecuencia para liberar espacio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an amazing phone! The form factor has reshaped my whole outlook on what a mobile phone can do. This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had multiple foldables from Honor over the last few years and this year I traded in my Honor Magic V5 for the Z Fold 8. And I am so glad I did. The form factor is far better, it's lighter, the display is epic, the crease is nearly non-existent, the battery is superb and holding the device in the hand is great. It's easily pocketable and is very snappy to use, very responsive and so far, I cannot say enough great things about it. I had questions about the camera but for standard photography, I really can't complain. I don't use a zoom lens so I don't miss the added camera in the Fold 8 Ultra. Superb all round device!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've upgraded from the S24 Ultra and despite some initial reservations about the durability and form factor, I've been proven wrong and couldn't be happier with the device. This form factor feels like the way forward. Amazing display. I had some reservations about the 4:3 aspect ratio but every app I've used so far displays perfectly, and is fully responsive. Apps such as Strava definitely look better when the device is unfolded and in portrait orientation. Overall, the shorter form factor makes the decice way more portable. I would caveat this with I do prefer the font on my device quite small, I think if you prefer larger font sizes you may lose some screen real estate. Typing on the keyboard is also very comfortable. I've found I actually use the device closed more than I do unfolded. When I do unfold the device; it's fantastic for media consumption; YouTube, gaming, reading all 10/10 and I'm also pleased with the battery life, the fast charging tops up the battery quickly, this was another of my main worries moving from the S24 Ultra. When folding and unfolding the hinge and durability overall is surprisingly strong, to the point where the device also works with external wrap around controllers, such as the GameSir X-5 making this device a real powerhouse for game streaming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it's without doubt the greatest phone I've ever had, the dimensions of the new shape make it extremely small and pocketable, it becomes a mini tablet and it's the proportions. I've always had fold phones but they never quite worked perfectly. I've still like them however, due to being great multitaskers but this is on a different level when it comes to productivity and how you use the phone whether vertically or in landscape and it is just an absolutely fantastic device, super light, a good battery, it's a brilliant all-rounder and I play a lot of SimCity so from that perspective it's perfect. I've also linked my gaming backbone controller which isn't the perfect fit as you need to open the screen slightly to allow it which is a bit of a shame. However, it's still a fantastic device and a brilliant all-rounder. I think next year Samsung shoulo consider making this a premium device or at least equal to the Ultra, it needs to sort the cameras out. I know this was the test case but you've now quickly learned that this is the popular one so fix the cameras and you are winning.

My Lavander colour tiny piece of tech Fold 8 is a masterpiece indeed 🫠 The "passport phone" stays charged almost 20 hours, fits perfectly in my hands ( girl hands, btw) , and now I have turned it pink all over, from the cover, to the screen 😄 I can't remember since I have written messages with both hands, and I love it . Opened for reading is something else. The hinge is strong and you can't see the middle line on the screen anymore. I am purely in love with it ❤️ 😍 💖
Muy cómodo el nuevo formato pasaporte y se nota mucha evolución del zfold 3 del que venía. Ahora el 3 me parece un prototipo en el hardware. Aunque por el precio las cámaras deberían ser mejores.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
